|
|
The Guild is its members. This means taking an active part in the Guild, joining in events, grouping with other Guildies on a fairly regular basis, helping others with quests, doing what you can to help the Guild as a whole. That does not exclude soloing, grouping with others, or not jumping in to help every person who asks. It is about finding the right balance to benefit you and the Guild. The fact is that we are all in this together to reach our higher goals in this game. And never forget - WoW is a game. Lets have fun, create moderate amounts of mayhem, and drink more beer!
Also never forget that you carry the Guild's Name above your head at all times, conduct yourself in a manner which will earn respect from your fellow players, not contempt. Be proud of being a Clerical Error, and make those around you happy to see one. Be polite, both to Guildies and fellow travellers. Be a nice person - even if this means you have to role-play the whole time! (We're sure you can be evil and nice at the same time...) And don't forget - it's a game, have fun, don't spam, don't ninja-loot, don't kill steal, don't get caught up in abusive arguments and don't intentionally train.
Please respect all other players in the game. Just because you are behind a keyboard does not absolve you of treating people with respect and decency. Griefing of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes harassment and/or derogatory comments of a sexual, racial, etc. nature whether this be in Guild Chat, regular chat, or otherwise.
Drama is not tolerated, Period. If you have a problem with another player you are expected to work it out or move on. Placing anyone on /ignore is never acceptable and will be dealt with quickly. Everyone has bad days, makes poor judgements, or slips from time to time. Give everyone a measure of grace and move on. If there is a constant issue, YOU are expected to contact leadership to help you work it out.
- Nice, friendly attitude.
- Respectful, mature and polite behavior towards other guild members.
- A sense of humor and adventure.
- Loyalty and dedication to the guild.
- Willingness to work for the benefit of whole guild.
- Helpful attitude towards other guild members that may be in need.
- Read, understand and obey Blizzard’s roleplaying realm policy
- Be at least level 40 (alts are exception)
- Show that we are able to trust you
- No cussing. Save your temper for the mobs.
- No unnecessary drama. Drama will be dealt with dramatically.
- Don’t spam guild channel
- Don’t always ask what the guild can do for you, also think about what you can do for the guild
- Listen to your officers’ advice
- If you have trouble with some other member talk to one of the officers, perhaps he or she can help you solve the problem
- We all enjoy a bit of fun, but insults, name calling, racial jokes, and other such behaviour won't be tolerated.
- We will not tolerate cheats, hacks, kill-stealing, or any similar actions outside of the fair play promoted in World of Warcraft.
- No arguments or disputes should be fought over in guild or general chat channels.
- Do not ask to be promoted. We will ask you.
- Guildhoppers are not welcome, our guild is based on longterm friendship.
- Be in time for raids and mostly, be prepared
- Any PvP Ranks, PvP items or other PvP rewards will not give you any benefit in the guild PvE activities. (I.e. no higher raiding privileges, no exceptions from ‘forcing’ and so on.)
PvP rules:
- We do not camp bodies, always giving them a way to respawn safely. (Does not count while defending our cities, or when the horde player is stubborn and continuously attacks for no reason.)
- We do not kill low level horde players, unless they attack first. We see no honor in fighting the weak.
- We value PvE and PvP equally, so be sure that your PvP and PvE activities won’t collide with each other.
Joining the Guild:
To be invited to the guild a player needs to fill out an application form. Next he/she will be contacted by an CE officer within 4 days from filling the application. After writing and getting accepted in the forums, the player will be invited and put into surveillance mode for a set period of time. The outcome of that will result in either promotion to full membership or removal from a guild.
Naming Policy
- We do not accept players with names similar to famous characters from Real Life or from Fantasy. (Like Thrull, Illiden, Mediiv, Aretas, Gimili, Gandulf, Lancelot, Lenin, Hitler, Bush... etc.)
- We do not accept players with improperly written names or those that make a sentence or names that are pure gibberish. (Like JoHhNy, CaTTeRINa, smith, bigass, Killmegently, kljhdfsjklfds... etc.)
- We do not accept players that have titles in their names (Like SirAndrew, Lordbaldy, MrProper... etc.)
- We do not accept players with names that are not a name but just initials or a shorter version of some word (like WC, AA, Pk, ID, Vs, brb, asd... etc.)
- In general, we don't accept people that are breaking Blizzard's naming policy.
Tips to Getting Accepted:
-Showing friendly attitude.
-Staying active after being invited to the guild.
-Bringing cookies to officers.
-Impressing other members with personal coolness.
Tips on How to Get Removed:
-Long and unannounced out of the game period. (We are not kicking players that go to vacations – even 6 months ones – as long as they stay in touch with the guild at least through the forums.)
-Insulting, harassing, personal attacks on the other guild members or generally bad behaviour.
-Breaking guild rules, raid rules or Blizzard’s policies.
-Failure to attain Rank 2 within a set amount of time.
After getting the rank of Minor error, which basically means you are accepted to the guild tips there are ways to get promoted after that.
Tips to Help You Get Promoted:
-Coming to raids prepared and on time.
-Being active on the forums.
-Being active in the game.
-following guild rules/expectations
Players will be demoted from higher rank to lower for showing wrong attitude, behaviour or violation of the guild rules.
Tips on How to Get Demoted:
- Being frequently late or unprepared on raids.
- Slacking on raids.
- Acting foolishly.
- Whining on chat/Ventrilo.
- ‘Ninja’ looting in and outside guild runs.
Any player who is demoted to Rank Initiate will be treated as a new member and will be subject to the same rules, including the trial period.
Guild ranks:
Master Error: (Master error is above everything! Only god knows why he created this error. He can do what ever he wants and one day when he rules the world you all will be his slaves and serve him with great Obedience. Not really, my job is to basicly keep the guild up and running as best as I can from all aspects. Godlike Errors work is also my work. feel free to contact me about anything if you have something to ask or just say/comment)
Godlike Error: (Godlike errors are highest ranked members in the guild. They have responsibility to create pve/pvp events. They will not work alone, major errors especially help them organizing things. Their voice among errors is must to be obeyed! Godlike Errors are in charge of many things, for example guild recruiting, making pve/pvp events to happen, observing people. Generally I recognize that everyone has their own special ability, and I try to play upon individual strengths for each Godlike Error assigned duties (These could be for instance that one is good recruiting new people, other is good leading raids and one error is good organising pvp). They are really dedicated errors, but they wont bite, feel free to ask them or tell them
anything, be that commenting other guild members or suggesting some event or something else.)
Major Error: (Major errors have evolved from previous errors to a new level in time. Clerical errors guild want to thank them giving them their own rank. A way to sort of say thank you for being loyal error from the beginning. Major errors can recruit new members and they are normally active and dedicated members who help Godlike errors and the whole guild. To put it short, they are the elite of errors!)
Average Error: (These errors have all the rights to the raiding and pvp aspects. Guild bank will also be available with some restrictions. They have no responsibility about anything, except to get good gear enough for raiding and/or pvp.)
Minor Error: (So you have been accepted to the guild by higher errors. This does not mean you are a fine and would fit among other errors. While you are minor error you will be basically observed everywhere, you are under surveillance all the time. We have cameras even in your home!)
Newborn Error: (*sniffs* I smell fresh meat! All new members will be in this rank as long as we are sure you would fit into the guild, but normally it is from 2 to 5 days. We will test new members with all kinds of weird and special ways, so be afraid!)
Alternative Error: (This is a rank for every alt in the guild.)
Inactive Error: (Anyone gone for more then two weeks is put on Inactive status. Even errors can get inactive you know.)
If you don't like about something, all ranks are of course allowed to express their opinion. Feedback and suggestions about anything. But no matter how important matter you have to tell, don't let it go to deaf ears. Contact higher ranked members in these matters (Godlike error, Major error and master error).
Raiding Rules (pve):
Raiding – how to behave on raids and how to prepare for them:
-Get good enough gear for the required raid you have signed
-You need to have mandatory tools (Ventrilo, required addons for raiding installed. Links to them are on available on main page.
-Subscribing for raids must be done BEFORE the raid, not 5 mins before the raid start.
-Unsubscribing for raids in less than 24h should be followed by an explaining note (in-game mail/forum or whisper) to appointed Raid Leader.
-Be at least 15 min before raid will start at appointed place (places varies per raid instance).
-If you know you’ll be late – be sure to inform appointed Raid Leader before the invites to the raid will start.
-During the raid behave as a professional.
-If you need to leave raid and raid is not finished – be sure to find a replacement for yourself and inform an appointed Raid Leader before leaving. Be sure that your replacement is close to the raid instance before leaving to minimize slowdown.
-Be sure that you are stocked with reagents, buff food and consumables. (if you cant afford these, ask help for officers, maybe guild bank can help you)
-Listening to Raid Leader and Officers is mandatory.
-Players that can’t be on TeamSpeak for any reason are obligated to inform Raid Leader about such thing
-Repair before raids
Looting
-If we have an enchanter in the group, we'll use Need or Disenchant system, unneeded loot is then disenchanted so that enchanters would be able to enchant guild members. The shards should be sent to guild bank or a guild enchanter.
-If some BoE item drops that could be used by other guild members not in the group/raid, the highest rank member takes it and sends it to the guild bank. (Those items are for example: patterns, class set armor etc.)
-In raids we use one loot per raid system. You can use only one need roll, but if no one needs it you have infinite greed/offspec rolls.
-‘Ninja’ looting will greatly increase your chances of leaving the guild. |

We all suffer from DCs from time to time, I am certainly no exception, but what is totally unacceptable is doing Alt F4 during a guild raid without informing anyone that you are logging off beforehand.
This causes huge delays for the raid because we often wait for a period of time for anyone who has 'DC'd' to come back. Often, they don't and a replacement has to be found. It's unfair to the members who make the effort and work through the tough times.
If you need to log for WHATEVER reason during a raid, please have the balls to say that you are going. I think it's fair to say that people who repeatedly 'DC' and do not return during raids may be passed over when it comes to selecting members for the next raid. |
